ConocoPhillips Internships
ConocoPhillips Internships are available to students who are interested in careers in the energy industry. Opportunities are available in the areas of finance, accounting, human resources, engineering, geosciences, and information technology.
ConocoPhillips recruits for interns on campuses throughout the country in September. This is a chance for students to meet with recruiters on campus to find out what internships are available and what the requirements are for each one. Recruiters will return to campus in October to interview again the students they have selected.
Interns are given challenging work assignments that will sharpen their skills and prepare them for career opportunities. An engineer, for example, might work on developing drilling well plans, prepare engineering designs, or participate in field operations. Students in geosciences will have an opportunity to use state-of-the-art technology in oil and gas discovery.
Conoco (Continental Oil and Transportation Co.) began in 1875 as a distributor of kerosene. Phillips Petroleum Company was founded in 1905 as an oil well drilling company. The two companies merged in 2002 to become a worldwide producer of light and heavy oil, and natural gas. They have operations in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.
