UNCF/NAACP Gateway to Leadership Internship Program
The Gateway to Leadership Program is a 10-week paid summer internship for undergraduate students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). This program offers finance majors an opportunity to work with major financial organizations during the internship.
The program is open to college juniors with a grade point average of 3.0 or above. Accepted majors include business, finance, economics, banking or accounting. Students must be enrolled at a historically black college or university. Benefits include competitive pay, on-the-job training with a top financial firm, competitive exercises in financial management, and valuable networking opportunities.
The program is administered by the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), but sponsored by NAACP and Money Management Institute (MMI). NAACP was founded in 1909 and is the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization working toward social justice for all Americans.
MMI was founded in 1997 to serve the interests of the financial services industry and address common concerns and issues. They also serve as an advocate for the industry on regulatory and legislative issues.
