SAMHSA Internship Program
SAMHSA Internship Program is open to all college students who have completed their freshman year of college before the internship begins. Undergraduate and graduate students may apply; students who have graduated within the last 12 months may also apply.
Candidates must have interest in and experience in the following areas: Public Health, Behavioral and Social Sciences, Public Policy, Business Communications, Business Administration, and Information Technology. All candidates must have a GPA of 3.0 or above. They must also be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident.
Summer internships are available, as well as Spring internships. Summer internships run for 10 weeks from June to August, and Spring internships are 15 weeks, running from January to April. Interns work 40 hours a week at SAMHSA's headquarters in Rockville, MD. They will work on meaningful projects that allow them to gain real-life exposure to areas within their course of study.
