CIA Summer Internships
CIA Summer Internships offer students an exciting opportunity to work for the National Clandestine Service (NCS), the covert arm of the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency). Internship positions are in the areas of business, information technology, security, science and engineering.
Students will work for two 90-day summer internships, one between their sophomore and junior year, and the second during their junior and senior year. They receive the same benefits as full-time employees plus competitive pay. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or above to apply. The internship program is designed to prepare students for a career with the NCS division of the CIA.
Following graduation, students will enter the Professional Trainee Program to prepare them for a career as an NCS Core Collector Officer. Their mission is to collect human intelligence on critical international developments. Interns work at CIA headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Applicants must have integrity, outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, a desire to serve the interests of the country, and a strong interest in foreign affairs and national security. Since 1947, the CIA has been responsible for matters relating to national security and serves as an adviser of such issues to the President.
