CSX Transportation Internships are open to college students interested in pursuing a career in the transportation industry. Both undergraduate and graduate students may apply for a paid internship.

Eligible students include those majoring in the areas of engineering, finance, accounting, logistics, supply chain, transportation, marketing, real estate, human resource management, computer science, chemistry and/or biology. Students interested in applying may submit an online application, including a grade transcript, cover letter, resume and letter of recommendation.


Internships are offered in a number of company departments. Interns will work on real projects in their field and be supervised by management employees. Each year, CSX hires 10-20 interns and recruits on college campuses throughout the year.

CSX Transportation is a Fortune 500 company that operates 21,000 miles of rail that connects commerce in 23 states, D.C. and two provinces in Canada. The company is headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida.
