MedStar Student Internships are open to high school and college students who are interested in pursuing careers in the medical field. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age or older and a current high school or college student.
MedStar offers two different paid internship programs.
- The Student Intern - open to current high school or college students, performs various duties in several hospital departments. The internship gives students an introduction to a hospital environment while performing non-patient care related functions.
- The CNA Student intern - is for high school students in a Health Professionals program to learn basic nursing techniques under the supervision and direction of a licensed professional Certified Nursing Assistant.
Interested students must apply online with a completed application, along with a cover letter, resume, and two letters of recommendation. This is a summer paid internship at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown, Maryland.
