AAMC Undergraduate Research Programs

AAMC Undergraduate Research Programs are available for college undergraduates with a strong background in science. Summer internships in research are offered to students considering a research career. Summer Undergraduate Research Programs are offered at universities, hospitals, medical centers, research foundations, and clinics around the nation. All offer summer internships that generally run from the end of May through the beginning of August. Each program has its own eligibility requirements but all are designed for currently-enrolled undergraduates.

Oregon Zoo Internships

Oregon Zoo Internships are offered to college students in the summer, as well as Fall/Winter/Spring terms. The internships are unpaid and offer students hands-on experience in many areas. Summer internships are available in Research and Conservation (upper division and graduate students), Assist Wild Life Live! program (for undergraduate or graduate level college students with course work in biology or zoology), and Veterinary Externship (for fourth year veterinary students). All applications for internships will be subject to a background check.

Marineland Internships

Marineland Internships are offered to college students and graduates who want to gain valuable experience in their field of interest. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and be able to commit to a 3-month internship. Internships are unpaid and interns are responsible for their own food, housing and transportation. Summer internships are available in animal training and in education. Summer internships run from the middle of May until the middle of August.

Gallo Winery Internships

Gallo Winery Internships are available to both undergraduate and graduate students. Interns gain valuable work experience in their field of interest while working at one of the world’s largest wineries. Internships are offered in specific areas for undergraduate and graduate students.

Alpha Genesis Internship Programs

Alpha Genesis Internship Programs are open to college students pursuing degrees in the biological sciences and veterinary medicine. Internships are offered during the summer months. Two programs are available. The Pre-Baccalaureate Summer Training Program is for undergraduates in the biological sciences who plan to pursue a career in research. This internship program gives students the opportunity to work side-by-side with AGI scientists and offers many opportunities in scientific research.
